IMPROVEMENT PROJECT OF
THE TRAZADO IN TAVERTET

The project, commissioned by the Diputació de Barcelona, proposes the improvement of the route of four conflicting curves of the BV-5207 road between Esquirol and Tavertet, which runs through one of the most emblematic areas of Osona due to its powerful tourist attraction and rural These curves have wider radii to facilitate the passage of heavy vehicles and improve driving, as well as concrete ditches with extra width added to the roadway and new containment elements.

Within the apparent simplicity of the project, in different sections there are several hydraulic structures, through which streams from the area rush, which need to be expanded. Among them, the extension of the Nogueira bridge stands out, which allows the passage of the stream with the same name and which has been carried out preserving the old masonry structure. Under this, a concrete box of increasing section has been projected.

The new route of the road, moreover, adapts to the leafy vegetation of the area in such a way that it avoids any landscape impact and preserves the rural beauty of the surroundings.
