Project for the implementation of a sanitation network in the Jardins de Cap Roig

The Cap Roig Gardens, located in the Baix Empordà (Gerona), is a unique place in the Mediterranean due to its singularity. The place of great beauty located on the Costa Brava combines botany, history, landscape and art, in an area of 17 hectares. In addition to the emblematic set of buildings (castle, town and towers), the gardens bring us closer to the knowledge of Mediterranean species and the composition of the landscape of the Costa Brava.

In addition to the permitted tourist walks, the Cap Roig Festival is organized in summer, an event that concentrates a very large volume of people, one of the main reasons why La Caixa entrusted Landem with the design of a new sanitation network in this location. The layout of the new projected network is adapted to the existing paths, affecting the natural environment as little as possible. The new sanitation system combines pumping stations, pressure collectors and free sheet collectors, so that the evacuation of each Cap Roig facility works by pumping, while the evacuation and transport of the set of flows works in free sheet.
