REURBANIZATION OF STREETS AL BARCELONETA NEIGHBORHOOD, BARCELONA

The Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals, BIM/SA, entrusted Landem with the construction management of the redevelopment project of Carrer Doctor Giné and Partagàs, also extending to Carrer Pinzón and Cermeño, the objective of which was the improvement of traffic and vehicle parking in certain sections.

The insufficient roadway on Calle Cermeño caused difficulties for users of municipal and fire service cargo vehicles. For this reason, the project counts on the realization of different sections of fences on the new roads and sidewalks and a redistribution of parking areas and lanes.

The peculiarity of the project lies in the great neighborhood activity in the area. It was essential to design a balanced and well-managed space, with enough space not to interfere with neighborhood life and at the same time allow large vehicles to move comfortably.
