Dog recreation area in Alfonso Comín Square, Barcelona

The square Alfonso Comín already provides a recreational area for dogs. The Barcelona City Council is opting for these coexisting areas between people and pets and, in this case, we reach a more comfortable and pleasant place.

In this project, Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals (BIMSA), relied on Landem the direction of the project of this new recreational area for dogs.

The area assigned for dogs is closed with a fence. Once in the limited area, we get in a charming area with shades that are generated by the conctete trees deactivated where there are benchs and a fountain to make it easy for the dogs to drink. The area where some games are placed for the dogs to run and play is designed with coarse sand that lets de water filter. The cleaning of the dog area is programmed with spray irrigation. In the rest of the Alfons Comín square it takes place an upgrade of the parterres and with a new proposal of gardening and irrigation prepared for teleprogramme it. The species chosen take into consideration the adaptation of the environment and the low consumption of water.
